Flash Fiction Friday #9: STRANDED


Hello Ladies and Gentlemen. It's Friday which means it's time for a bit of Flash Fiction for your enjoyment! For those of you who don't know what Flash Fiction Friday is, it's 100 words written for one picture. On your marks! Get set! Aaaand GO! 

All he wanted to do was to get back home to his wife and now this. Somehow, Randy’s credit card had been wiped clean. CREDIT DENIED: everyone’s worst nightmare. Embarrassed, he left the hotel lobby. It was going to be a long, hard night but at least he had bought his bus ticket several days ago.

Randy walked until he couldn’t walk anymore. His dogs were exhausted and thirsty and so was he. Finally, Rex, Lexie, and he plopped down for a nap on an old loading dock. Samantha’s beautiful face filled his mind as he drifted off to sleep.

    This was so heartfelt, Leann. Who has been in his shoes, in one form or another! But all he has to do is get through the nite and back home on tomorrow's bus. Lots packed into 100 words! I enjoyed it!:) xo

    I'm sorry Leann, I read your flash. I thought I left a comment. Maybe I forgot to click publish. I'll try it again. I felt his anxiety. Stupid credit card companies don't budge an inch. Samantha will be a welcomed sight. It is fortunate he has a bus ticket or he'd have to do what I did when younger-hitchhike.

      It's okay, Michael. Hitchhiking is scary and depending on credit cards is too. So glad you felt the flash. :)
