It's Friday and I'm Flashing! 100 words, no more and no less. This picture struck me as sad so I hope my story does it some justice.
A tear slid down Trista’s cheek as she sat in the empty
ballet studio. Ballet was her passion. How could God take it away from her?
What will she do now?
Yesterday she was dancing to her favorite tune when she went
to do a jump and landed wrong and crashed to the floor. She could barely get up
for the searing pain she felt in her hip.
Trista went to the doctor and he told her she had a hairline
fracture. Not only that, but she had a rare bone deficiency that will keep her
from dancing ever again.

ReplyDeleteThank you, Doris. :)
DeleteOh no so sad. I actually feel sad now :-( Great write.
ReplyDeleteBad news upon bad news. But that fracture could have saved her life so she may yet again dance. The open-ended conclusion is also a beginning. I loved it Leann:) xo
ReplyDeleteNo! so sad but very fitting with the picture, well done.
ReplyDeleteI know from personal experience what it's like to lose physical abilities I took for granted. Thoughtful flash
ReplyDeleteoh wow!! Ouch for one, and to have one's dream taken like that is horrible. I hope she makes it positive and doesn't give up her dream of dancing but maybe she can teach others if she can't. :)
ReplyDeleteHer situation with her passion for dancing is believable and sad. I hope she can find someway to find a passion in her life again. Maybe teaching dance.
