Flash Fiction Friday #15: Summoning

Happy Flash Friday! Today we have a rather mysterious image to write our 100 word teasers on and I'm excited to see how we all did! This should be exciting!

Bellamin made his way to the cliffs edge where Ortanbras was kept, over a large chasm. While he walked, he began an incantation of his ancient descendants. As he brought his hands together, energy sparked and began to form and grow.

The wind picked up and blew his hair and beard as the spell took full form, the energy a large mass in the palms of his hands. With a loud voice like thunder he commanded the dragon to come forth.  He threw his spell at the wall before him, revealing the entrance to the cave.

“Who disturbs my slumber?"

Please take the time to read all other takes of this wonderful image by individually clicking the links below. Enjoy!

  7. You wrote the best interpretation of this week's photo. Your flash was extremely original, evoking a story or to be expanded. it would be great for a fairy tale or children's story, even something more adult would work. Your words were explicitly detailed bringing me into the picture of the dragon waking from his sleep in a fury of disruption. I loved your flash.
